Сharming hilltop village
Distance from Siena: 20 km (~ 13 mi)
Travel time: 25 minutes

Exit Siena to the SS674 road and continue east towards Muchigliani
Muchigliani is a small colorful village, spread out on one of the highest hills in the region. In the Middle Ages, in place of the village, there had been a small castle of the counts of the Berardenga. The destroyed castle is now replaced with a few farmhouses and a parish church of St. Andrews. From the hill, you can admire the picturesque view of the village upon a hill.
Photography recommendations
You can take pictures from the road to the north. Otherwise, climb the nearby hill and shoot the village with the serpentine road that leads to it. The best time to shoot is sunrise and sunset. Use 24-70 lens and tripod.
